COVID-19 CANCELLATIONS

We have been agonizing over the impact of this very recent novel Coronavirus pandemic. While we remain hopeful that late May will find us all in a better place, we have decided that we cannot ask singers to risk their health by attending rehearsals, nor do we want to jeopardize the health of our most vulnerable patrons. Therefore, we have made the difficult decision to cancel our performance of The Greatest Generation: An American Oratorio, scheduled for May 31, 2020.

This cancellation will have a significant financial impact on The Mendelssohn Choir. We are grateful for the deep generosity of our community and ask that you consider donating your Greatest Generation tickets for a tax credit. Keep reading for more info.

“Now that the concert is cancelled, what are my options?”

  1. You may donate your tickets for a tax credit. To do so, simply E-mail Communications Manager Emily Leal-Santiesteban or call our office directly at 412-926-2488 to let us know you would like to donate. That’s it. You will receive a confirmation and tax receipt for your donation within 7 business days.
  2. You can receive a refund of your ticket purchase, less ticketing fees. To receive a refund, E-mail Communications Manager Emily Leal-Santiesteban or contact our office at 412-926-2488 with your choice and we will process the refund immediately, less ticketing fees.

If we do not hear from you before April 6, 2020, we will automatically refund your ticket purchase.

Thank you for your understanding and flexibility during this difficult time. Our hope is to reschedule this performance for some time in the future. Please continue to check our website and social media pages ( Facebook , Twitter , Instagram ) for updates and ways to participate with us – online – in the healing power of song!

We hope you and yours remain safe and well, and we look forward to seeing you again at a performance very soon.
