Handel’s Messiah

The Mendelssohn Choir of Pittsburgh and Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, under the baton of conductor Osmo Vänskä, present a special one-night only performance of Handel’s Messiah.  Composed in 1741, it was first performed in Dublin in April 1742.  Though it received a modest reaction from audiences at first, Messiah has now become one of the best-known and performed choral works.
