The Planets – An HD Odyssey

The Mendelssohn Choir of Pittsburgh, the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra and Manfred Honeck present Gustav Holst’s The Planets, as Pittsburgh has never seen before!  Along with the sweeping melodies, each planet will be accompanied by NASA footage, as audiences are taken on a musical tour of space.  Also on the program is the PSO world premiere of The Elements, a five-part commission from five Pittsburgh-area composers representing different Pittsburgh universities.
