The Carnegie Hall Challenge Fund

How will the Mendelssohn Choir of Pittsburgh get to Carnegie Hall in 2014?
With a little help from our friends.

The Mendelssohn Choir of Pittsburgh has been invited to accompany the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra to perform Manfred Honeck’s dramatic presentation of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’sRequiem at Carnegie Hall in Spring 2014. The Choir’s last performance at Carnegie Hall was almost a dozen years ago, and choir members will tell you that there is nothing like the feeling of standing on that historic stage preparing to sing.

To help the Mendelssohn Choir raise the funds to cover its travel costs, Mr. Richard P. Simmons, Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra Board Chair, has generously agreed to match every donation dollar for dollar! Make a donation to The Mendelssohn Choir’s Carnegie Hall Challenge Fund and see your dollars doubled.
