Spring for Music: Mozart Requiem

The Mendelssohn Choir of Pittsburgh and the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, led by Manfred Honeck, travel to New York City to present Mozart’s Requiem at Carnegie Hall at the Spring for Music Festival.  Spring for Music is an annual festival dedicated to celebrate the quality and creativity of North American orchestras, allowing the selected orchestras to showcase their own artistic philosophy.  Along with Mozart’s masterpiece, the concert will include Anton Bruckner’s Ave Maria, the final scene from Francis Poulenc’s Dialogues des Carmélites, and the premiere of James MacMillan’s work Woman of the Apocalypse.
