Britsburgh Approves Victoria’s Secret Concert as Queen Victoria’s Official Birthday Celebration in Pittsburgh!

On Wednesday, April 24, The Mendelssohn Choir was excited to host guests from Britsburgh at rehearsal for Victoria’s Secret: A Life in Music, May 18 & 19.  The members of Britsburgh are passionate Anglophiles who strive to connect communities by driving growth in British-American culture, history, education, tradition and trade in Pittsburgh.  The evening started off with some fellowship and food at the Sharp Edge Bistro, then continued to Heinz Hall, where MCP Music Director Matthew Mehaffey gave them an inside view of the creative process behind Victoria’s Secret.  Next, it was off to the rehearsal room, where they sat in on the MCP’s rehearsal, then back to the Sharp Edge for a short presentation on Queen Victoria.  As one Britsburgh member said, “You would not want to miss this concert!”
