Junior Mendelssohn Concert: A Path to Hope

The Junior Mendelssohn Choir of Pittsburgh present their annual fall concert, A Path to Hope.  Under the baton of Music Director Caron Daley, the JMCP performs music celebrating themes of hope and resilience. Featured compositions include Katerina Gimon’s A Path to Hope, written in 2020 in response to the COVID-19 pandemic; Sing Out My Soul, by Marques L. A. Garrett; and several lively madrigals. Guest artist Charlene Canty, soprano, joins the choir in gospel-inspired selections. This is the first live choral performance of the Mendelssohn Choir of Pittsburgh since February 2020.

Proof of vaccination is required for entry to all concerts. Children under 12 and guests who need reasonable accommodations due to a medical exception or a sincerely held religious belief must provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test within the last 72 hours. Masks will be required of all patrons whenever Allegheny County is in the CDC’s “substantial” or “high” community transmission levels (which, as of today, it currently is).
