Junior Mendelssohn Concert: At the River

The Junior Mendelssohn Choir of Pittsburgh celebrates one of Pittsburgh’s most notable geographic features, and explores the power of rivers in our lives, both literally and symbolically. Conductor Timothy Heavner leads the singers of the JMCP in a program filled with the imagery, ever-changing presence, and importance of rivers and water. Featured compositions include music from 16th century composer Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina, all the way to contemporary classics like Henry Mancini’s “Moon River.”

MCP continues to take the health of its singers, staff, and patrons very seriously and is committed to following guidelines from the Allegheny Health Department, PA Health Department, and the CDC. We will adjust our policies as guidance, venue policies, and the Allegheny County infection rate changes.

MCP singers and staff are fully vaccinated, and we encourage all patrons to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19, but proof of vaccination will not be required upon entry at this time. Masks are not mandatory but are strongly encouraged for all and masks will be available at all of our events to any patron who would like one.

We ask for your consideration as we strive to keep everyone healthy so we can continue coming together safely to enjoy music.
