Perfect Pairings, the 2008 Junior Mendelssohn Choir Fall Concert celebrates the ensemble's long-term relationships with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra and with co-founder Robert Page. The afternoon program paired the Mozart Missa Brevis in D, k. 194 (performed with the Academy Chamber Orchestra) and Kodaly's Missa Brevis, performed on organ by James Burns.
The frequent collaboration of the Junior Mendelssohn Choir with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra was celebrated with two songs performed by the choir on a PSO Fiddlesticks concert: "There's No Business Like Show Business" and "Sir Joseph's Barge is Seen", from HMS Pinafore, reflecting the perfect pairing of librettist W.S Gilbert with composer Arthur Sullivan. The choir also featured a performances of "I'll Build a Stairway to Paradise" and "Our Time," two arrangements by Bob Page.
